GLENCORE COAL SA BURSARY OPPORTUNITY
Candidates are invited to apply for Bursary opportunities that are offered by the Company in the following disciplines:
• Electrical Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Mining Engineering
. Financial Services
• Metallurgy
To be considered for the opportunities, you will need to meet the following minimum requirements:
• Grade 12.
• Minimum of a s symbol for Mathematics and Physical Science and as per Institution’s requirements for Engineering fields.
• Minimum of a S symbol for Mathematics and Physical Science for technical fields.
• average year mark of 60% and above for 2nd and 3rd year students.
• A CV with your Grade 12 Certificate or latest academic transcript from the University if you are already studying at a University. .
Preference will be given to applicants residing in the local communities where Glencore Coal Operations South Africa are located – proof of residence to be submitted with application.
• Applicants already supported by another organisation/company will not be considered.
• Selection will be in line with the Employment Equity requirements of the Company
• Shortlisted candidates will be subjected to assessment and interviews as part of the selection process.
The Bursary covers the following:
• Tuition fees.
• Meals and accommodation.
• Prescribed textbooks.
• Payment of any compulsory excursions or seminars, which may be required
• A Personal allowance.
