SEKHUKHUNE TVET COLLEGE INVITE UNEMPLOYED YOUTH TO APPLY FOR ENGINEERING APPRENTICESHIP
APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME OPPORTUNITY
Manufacturing, Engineering and Related Services Sector Education and Training Authority (merSETA) in conjunction with Sekhukhune TVET College are offering Apprenticeship opportunity for the local unemployed youth.
Applicants are invited to apply for the following fields of study
- Diesel mechanic
- Welder
- Electrician
- Fitter and tunner
- Millwright
- Boilermaker
Minimum Requirements:
• Must have Grade 12 (Matric)
• Must have Mathematics and Physical Science
• An N2 or N3 qualification in a relevant engineering field is highly recommended
• Must be unemployed
• Must be between the ages of 18 and 35
• Must be a South African citizen
• Must be willing to commit to the full duration of the programme
• Good communication and teamwork skills
Preference may be given to applicants residing within the Sekhukhune District Municipality.
Duration of the Programme
The apprenticeship programme typically runs for 2 to 3 years, depending on the specific trade and training requirements. During this period, apprentices will alternate between classroom learning and on-the-job training.
Note:
• Applicants must be under 35 years of age.
• First preference will be given to applicants who studied at Sekhukhune NET College.
• Adhere to minimum requirements. All Applications will be subjected to assessment processes.
• The successful candidates will enter relevant ETQA Agreement and Employment Contract.
