What Is the Portable Skills Training Programme? ASSMANG Khumani Mine Portable Skills Training Programme 2026 is a 12-month structured training initiative aimed at developing artisan-level competencies.
“Portable skills” means that the training you receive is not limited to one company or mine — the skills are transferable and can be applied across:
• fitter and tunner
• Platter/Welder
• Diesel Mechanic
Educational Requirement:
• Grade 12 (Matric)
General Requirements:
• Must be a South African citizen
• Must have a valid South African ID
• Must provide proof of residence
• Must submit a completed application form
Additional Expectations:
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
• Strong work ethic and discipline
