Twinsaver is looking for an Electrician for a fixed term Contract for 12 months.

MAIN PURPOSE:

• To support the production process with adequate levels of availability, operability (sustained production rates) and reliability relating to the electrical aspect of the production and all ancillary equipment, including the electrical distribution systems, by ensuring that all engineering related breakdowns, problems and opportunities related to all equipment in the converting plant, are attended to in the shortest possible time and in the most effective and safest manner possible.
• To ensure that all electrical equipment and installations comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and related regulations

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Attending to schedules and do the tasks to the letter.
• Attend and resolve Electrical problems/issues within reasonable times.
• Attend to planned shuts, breakdowns and be prepared to work standby on rotational basis.
• Ensure that electrical spares/parts are correct and available
• Repair and /or restore electrical equipment to acceptable /original standards.
• Record downtime, breakdowns and modifications made
• Maintaining high standard of housekeeping, OHS standards and quality.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12 and N3 in Electrical Engineering
• Trade test Certificate
• 3 Years’ experience in pulp and paper
• Knowledge of Siemens plc, Omron Pl, Allen Bradley Plc, Sinamic drives, AC Drives, DC Drives Profibus and Serial Communications. Be able to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Drivers licence
