Introduction
Grain Field Chickens, a subsidiary of VKB Agriculture (PTY)Ltd, is a dynamic integrated broiler industry participant with an abattoir in Reitz, North Eastern Free State. We provide you with the opportunity to establish yourself in a professional, corporate setting in the countryside.
Position Description
Responsible for general plant tasks such as maintaining department cleanliness, packaging, hanging, pushing, lifting, and other general chores in accordance with laid down instructions/policies and procedures.
Requirements
Equivalent to Grade 12 or NQF Level 4.
Capable of working in both cold and hot settings.
Because the employment requires hard work and standing for lengthy periods of time, the applicant should be in good physical shape.
Responsibilities and Duties
Sweeping and collecting rubbish from plant pathways and other specified places.
Product cleaning should be done correctly.
Using pressured cleaning devices to remove and wash away dirt (handheld hoses).
Pulling, shoving, and stacking containers in allocated storage location
As needed, move all rejected parts to the Gyros.
Transporting boxes and other products to specific spots across the factory.
Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with SHEQ and corporate standards.
Maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain work environments clean and neat.
In addition to your regular tasks, as detailed below, you will be expected to undertake any additional duties as assigned by your line manager.
Required Qualifications
Understanding of manufacturing methods
Understanding of health and safety protocols (PPE).
Participant in a team.
Capable of working under duress.
