Position Description
TWK Agri currently has the following openings: Cashier in the Trade Department in Pongola, KwaZulu-Natal.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare packages for shipment by bagging, boxing, and wrapping products.
Transactions must be computed and recorded.
Count money in cash drawers at the start of shifts to check that the sums are right and there is enough change.
Notes and coins should be sorted, counted, and wrapped.
Calculators, cash registers, and optical scanners are used to establish or identify pricing for commodities and to tabulate banknotes.
Greet clients when they enter businesses.
Customers’ receipts, refunds, credits, or change must be issued.
Maintain monthly balance sheets with transaction amounts and quantities.
Accept cash or credit card payments
Keep checkout areas clean and organized.
Stock shelves and mark shelf and item pricing
Perform stocktakes
Qualifications and abilities
Matriculation / Grade 12
Computer savvy
Previous cashier experience is required.
Money management skills
Customer service abilities
Excellent interpersonal skills
