Red Seal Engineering

Fitter N2 or N3

Matric (Maths and Science)

 

Experience

 

Ammonia rail tanker wagon and equipment maintenance requires a minimum of three years’ experience.

extensive knowledge in testing and inspecting railroad cars and/or other pressure vessels.

 

 

Duties

Conduct standardized examinations and tests on the barrels of ammonia rail tanker wagons.

Verify the documentation’s accuracy and completeness, as well as its quality.

secondary examinations of wagon components and accessories utilizing standardized physical, mechanical, and/or electrical measurements and visual inspection in accordance with predetermined standards.

Measurements and observations from tests and inspections should be accurately recorded.

Right-angle valve overhaul.

Organize the calibration of all test setups and equipment.

Workshop equipment maintenance, testing, and inspection.

To maintain accurate functioning and calibration, keep an eye on important equipment and instruments.

Take part in developing and/or updating SOPs for the statutory functions.

help with the creation and upgrading of the inspection process, checklist, and procedures.

Analyze issues and suggest any necessary remedial action to the supervisor.

Carry out maintenance and replacements on rail components and vehicles.
