MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT – CAPE TOWN
Duties & Responsibilities
Assisting with Daily maintenance:
Provide Maintenance support to maintenance team by performing various task by keeping facilities and equipment maintained and in good condition.
To assist with various tasks within the Depot over weekend, as per maintenance roster.
To get a job request from supervisor daily
Conducting minor repairs to the buildings and equipment
Responding to requests from maintenance dashboard daily
Using power tools to fix wiring and piping.
Perform basic tasks including painting and filling crevices, cleaning facilities and managing maintenance repairs.
Maintenance stores/workshop management:
Conducting routine inspections of maintenance workshop and equipment.
Assist with preventative maintenance.
Ensure that maintenance equipment is cleaned and returned after each shift.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Grade 12
Minimum 3 – 5 Years’ experience in Mechanical / Electrical / Maintenance environment 3 Years’ experience in a transport environment
Proficient knowledge of the company, its divisions, associates, people, products, terms and conditions, and services
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Enjoy working independently as well as be part of a team.
Assist fellow colleagues in the daily running of company related tasks.
Be focused on providing work of an extremely high quality.
Very good organizational skills.
